Back in April 2024, we invited the community to share their ideas and discuss priorities for Council’s upcoming four-year plan.
We provided plenty of ways to get involved, including:
Over 790 community members participated, offering feedback on the current Strategic Plan and sharing their priorities for the next one.
We’ve been working through more than 1,800 comments, along with many other interesting facts and figures, and are excited to share the "What We Heard" Report. It outlines the engagement process, community feedback, and what comes next.
The report is now available in the document library on this page.
If you don’t have time to read the entire report (although we’d love for you to!), here are some key pages for a quick overview:
We’d also love to hear your thoughts on the engagement process. Please take just five minutes to complete a short survey – your feedback will help us improve future engagement efforts! Strategic Plan engagement. How did we do?
Thank you for being part of the conversation.
Consultation is now closed.
Thank you to our community for your outstanding participation in our recent Strategic Plan engagement. Your enthusiasm and insights have truly made a significant impact on our journey towards shaping the future of our community for the next four years.
We have thoroughly enjoyed connecting with you at our numerous Pop Ups and Community Summits, as well as learning from your valuable input through the survey. Your perspectives on what connection means to you have been inspiring, and we are grateful for your willingness to share your thoughts with us.
As we move forward, we are excited to begin compiling all the feedback we've received into a comprehensive "What We Heard Report." This report will serve as a crucial document to be presented to the council, informing the development of our strategic plan. Your voices will be heard loud and clear as we work together to create a roadmap for the future that reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.
We are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way, and we will notify our connected community as soon as the "What We Heard Report" is ready. Your continued engagement and support are invaluable to us, and we look forward to embarking on this next phase of our journey together.
What is a strategic plan? The quick answer is a road map, which guides our decision-making. It describes what Council will focus on over the next four years and how we will go about it.
Our current strategic plan has a focus on building community and city foundations. It was developed in partnership with our community – and you told us it was important to address things that impact your everyday life.
We have delivered a wide range of initiatives through the plan. Now it’s time to reach out and once again listen to our community and understand what you think lies ahead for Playford.
For more information on what Council has achieved during the past four years and about the new plan refer to the project document library on this page.
