City of Playford invites you to share your views on the draft Strategic Plan 2025–2028. This draft outlines Council’s key priorities for the next four years and the steps we’ll take to achieve them. It’s important that the plan reflects what matters most to you, so we want to hear your thoughts!
In Phase One (April 2024), over 790 community members shared their insights through summits, pop-ups, and surveys, which helped shape the Draft Strategic Plan 2025–2028. Now, in Phase Two, we’re reconnecting with you to ensure the plan truly represents your priorities.
Your feedback has already played a key role in shaping the draft, and now we’re seeking your final thoughts before it’s finalised.
What are we seeking feedback on?
We want to understand your level of support and feedback on key themes in the draft Strategic Plan 2025-2028, as well as your overall level of support for the draft plan. Your feedback will help refine the final version to best serve our community.
We encourage you to read the draft Plan before providing your feedback. You can access the draft Strategic Plan 2025-28 Plan in the 'Document Library' section of this page.
You can provide your feedback via our online survey or refer to the 'Providing feedback' tab for more options.
What happens after consultation?
After the consultation period closes, we’ll compile all community feedback into a ‘What We Heard’ Report. This will help inform Council’s decisions when finalising the Strategic Plan 2025-28. We’ll also share this report with our community so you can see how your feedback has contributed.
What is a Strategic Plan?
A Strategic Plan is a roadmap that guides Council’s decision-making. It sets out our key focus areas, the actions we’ll take, and how we’ll deliver outcomes for the community.
How did we develop our draft Strategic Plan?
In April 2024, we launched the first phase of engagement, with over 790 community members sharing their insights on what matters most. Alongside this, we analysed data from:
✔ Ongoing community feedback and customer requests
✔ Playford Community Survey
✔ Service delivery projects
✔ External research to understand broader trends affecting our city
Using this rich combination of community input and data, we developed the draft Strategic Plan 2025-2028. We’re now in the second phase of consultation—your feedback will help refine and finalise the plan.
What does the draft Strategic Plan cover?
The draft Strategic Plan outlines Council’s roles and responsibilities in delivering essential services and projects, ensuring transparency in our decision-making process and encouraging active community involvement.
It provides a clear vision of what our community can expect to experience by 2028, explaining why these priorities are important and what they include (and don’t). While the plan sets our direction, it is designed to be a high-level guide for decision making that allows for flexibility and continued collaboration.
The draft Strategic Plan is built around key themes that strengthen our city’s foundations and foster deeper connections:
✅ Our Foundations: Improving safety, accessibility, and ease of movement around our city
✅ Our Foundations: Lifting city appearance.
✅ Building Connections: Fostering collaboration and connection to each other
✅ Building Connections: Activating and facilitating welcoming community spaces and events.
Thank you to our community for participating in the first phase of our Strategic Plan 2025-28 engagement. We loved connecting with you and hearing what matters most to you.
Council is committed to engaging with and understanding our community. Your feedback is valued and plays a key role in shaping decisions. The Strategic Plan is a significant opportunity for you to influence Council’s direction over the next four years.
