What did you tell us?

Our community told us Playford is a welcoming, diverse and family-friendly place, with local amenities and events that help them feel included and able to participate. Most feel positive and supported, with many saying they feel safe, especially during the day, and value the easy access to parks, community spaces and essential services.
Participants also shared areas where improvement is needed, noting that experiences are different across our city. Those living in growth areas spoke about the challenges of rapid development, infrastructure and connectivity. Feelings about growth were mixed, some saw optimism and opportunity, while others expressed uncertainty and frustration. Many told us...
- Playford is home: Quiet streets, friendly neighbours, local parks, shops, and schools are loved by many.
- They are proud to live in Playford: Residents in Elizabeth’s older suburbs feel a strong sense of community and enjoy easy access to services.
- They want Playford looking its best: Many participants told us parks, footpaths, green spaces, lighting, and rubbish management could get extra attention.
- There are growing pains: In fast-growing areas like Angle Vale, Munno Para, and Andrews Farm, residents feel traffic, roads, and infrastructure need extra support.
- Activities and events matter: Nearly half of participants enjoy Playford’s events and activities, especially when they feel welcome and well-informed.
- Trust and confidence in Council is mixed: Residents in older suburbs generally feel more satisfied and confident in Council, while those in growth areas and people aged 35–59 reported lower confidence - an area for us to explore further.
