Land Revocation proposal - what you need to know

The City of Playford has taken one step in the process of considering the land revocation of five allotments along Main North Road to create opportunities for development opportunities and enhanced open greenspaces, active landscaped areas and safer public pathways.

Community consultation closed on 14 July, followed by Council's decision to apply to the Minister seeking approval to proceed with the land revocation process.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 194 of the Local Government Act 1999, the City of Playford is considering revocation of the Community Land classification over remaining portion of Allotment 259 Ashfield Road/Main North Road, Allotment 104 Main North Road, Allotment 3 Main North Road, Allotment 206 Main North Road and Allotment 98 Main North Road in the suburbs of Elizabeth & Elizabeth East.

The City of Playford proposes to undertake this revocation to consider selling this land to create opportunities for development disposal opportunities in line with the overall Playford Community Vision 2043.

Upon completion of the revocation process, it is proposed to consider disposal opportunities that will redefine the image by creating an outstanding, attractive gateway corridor of residential, commercial and civic spaces, united by a ribbon of parklands.
