Consultation has now closed and Council will be considering the matter and submissions on 27 July 2021.City of Playford is proposing revocation of the Community Land classification over Allotment 52, located between Prince George Plaza and Main North Road, Elizabeth. Upon completion of the revocation process, it is proposed either one or two allotments will be created for development to be presented to the open market. A new sensory garden and creation of new public road between Playford Boulevard and Prince George Street is also proposed which will remain in Council ownership.
Consultation has now closed. Submissions that have been received will now be presented Council at the Ordinary Council meeting to be held at the Civic Centre- 7pm 27th July 2021 for further consideration.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 194 of the Local Government Act 1999, the City of Playford is considering the revocation of the Community Land classification over Allotment 52 Certificate of Title Volume 6227 Folio 219 as identified in Deposited Plan 120716.
The City of Playford proposes to undertake this revocation to create one or two allotments for development to be presented to the open market for the purpose of selling the land, a sensory garden, and a new public road between Playford Boulevard and Prince Charles Street. While the new allotment(s) created will be considered for disposal, the road and sensory garden will remain in Council ownership. A vibrant Central Business District (CBD) is a community aspiration and described as an integrated retail, commercial and entertainment hub in the Playford Community Vision 2043. The proposal to revoke a parcel of land is cornerstone to activating next steps that will bring us closer to enabling that community vision.
