Disability, Access & Inclusion Plan

Project Overview

The City of Playford is developing a new Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP).

We are excited to commence this important project and invite the community to have their say. We look forward to hearing from you!

See below for further information on how to have your say on the development of the DAIP.

In 2018, the Disability Inclusion Act 2018 (SA) was passed, recognising the need for stronger commitment from all areas of Government to creating a more inclusive South Australia and reducing barriers faced by people living with disability in our State

As part of the Act, the Minister for Human Services has delivered South Australia’s first State Disability Inclusion Plan – Inclusive SA.  Inclusive SA paves the way for a whole of Government approach to inclusion and sets out specific actions for State Government agencies and local councils to achieve.

The Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) is a Strategic document that sets out the measures Local Council’s will undertake to ensure people with disability can engage in community life by accessing services, facilities, events, communications and employment.  This will be City of Playford’s fifth DAIP, with our first developed in 1998, demonstrating Playford’s commitment to championing access and inclusion of people with disability in our community.
