Draft Annual Business Plan 2025/26
The 2025/26 draft Plan outlines how we’re investing in the services, infrastructure, and projects needed to support our growing city—set to welcome 10 new residents every day for the next 20 years.
In 2025/26, we’re proposing a $125 million investment to continue delivering 25 core services that our community relies on, from waste collection and libraries to community development and local infrastructure. An additional $38.4 million is allocated to renewing important assets like roads, footpaths, playspaces, and sporting facilities.
To support this work and respond to rising service delivery costs, a 4.54% rate increase is proposed—about $1.70 per week for the average household. This ensures we can maintain the services you value, fund new projects, and stay financially sustainable long term.
Major projects in the coming year include the upgrade of Sheedy Road, stormwater and beautification works, and completion of key facilities at Kalara Reserve, Argana Park, and more—with support from State Government funding. The Riverlea District Sportsground (North) will also begin, delivered in consultation with a developer.
We’re also aligning with major State and Federal plans to prepare for long-term growth—explored in our new Growth in Focus section.
Draft Long Term Financial Plan 2025/26
The City of Playford’s Draft Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP) outlines how Council will manage its finances over the next 10 years to continue delivering services and infrastructure for our growing community.
Based on current budgets and economic forecasts, the plan includes projected growth, future capital investment, and asset renewal aligned with the Strategic Asset Management Plan.
Council’s financial position remains strong, meeting key sustainability targets while keeping rate increases manageable.
Draft Strategic Asset Management Plan 2025/26
The Draft Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) outlines how Council manages and maintains its assets to support long-term community needs.
It details asset responsibilities, values, and renewal needs over 1, 10, and 30 years, including a $38.4M renewal program for 2025/26 outlined in the Annual Business Plan.
The plan explains how asset conditions are assessed and prioritised, with tailored approaches for different asset types. It also considers future growth from Council and developer-delivered projects.
Draft Rating Policy and Procedure / Draft Rate Rebate Policy and Procedure
The Draft Rating Policy and Procedure outlines Council’s process for setting and collecting rates from its community. The Draft Rate Rebate Policy and Procedure ensures that all applications for rate rebates are considered in an equal and fair manner in line with the provisions set out under the Local Government Act.
